Overview
We need to ensure that the customer knows:
- what they are buying,
- who is paying
- where the goods are to be delivered
- how they are to pay
- what are the terms and conditions of the sale
- and that they pay the correct amount.
We also need to ensure that we have a record of the sale, and that the money, if collected on the spot, it is duly credited to the customer. If payment is to be delayed (off line sales) we need to make sure that we know about this.
However, in order to do this we need to have:
- Set prices for goods (part of the product module)
- Set the vat rates
- set the vat rate for each good (product module)
- set the delivery rates
- created our own account with PayPal, or other Payment Service Provider
- Confirmed our own Terms and Conditions (Admin function - Messages)
A typical Checkout looks like this:

Clicking
will take the customer to the relevant Payment Service Provider's page for actual collection of the money.
