Overview
This module renders a group of message threads on a specific topic. Discussion includes a Read/Reply Message page, which allows authorized users to reply to existing messages or add a new message thread. The data for Discussion is stored in the SQL database.
The discussion topics look like:
Clicking the hyperlink expands the content so that you can read it:
If you have permission you can reply to the the topic. If your are the originator, then you can edit and delete the topic
Replying to a topic
Click the hyperlink expands the content so that you can read it
Select the Reply link
Modify the (copied) title if necessary
Add your reply
Click the Save link
Add a new Topic
Right click on the pencil
Select Add New Thread
Enter a title and complete the words:
This adds the new discussion to the list.
Editing a Topic
Only if you have adminstrator privileges or the originator of the thread you can edit it.
Click the topic link. It will expand. Select Edit (see earlier image).
When you have finished editing click the Save link
Deleting a Topic
Only if you have adminstrator privileges or the originator of the thread you can delete it.
Click the topic link. It will expand. Select Delete (see earlier image).
The following message appears
Click OK to delete the topic AND all attached replies
