Overview
It may seem that couriers, including Royal Mail, vary their charges according to arcane rules - this is the price you pay to them. However this is usually not be the price you charge your customers. This function allows you to set up your delivery charges - the price you charge to your customer for delivery, so that you at least recover your costs. Remember that the cost of delivery is not just the price you pay to the courier. it includes your labour costs for picking, packing and labelling, and the cost of the packing materials themselves. You can define your own 'arcane' rules -this function allows you to do just that.
Managing Delivery Methods and Charges
Managing this function forms part of the Checkout Module Options
- Define your Delivery Method ('overnight', 'saver', 'super saver' etc.)

and set which will be the default
- Set the fixed charge (if any)
- Set the variable rates - these can be based on weight, number of items, or value - and the range over which these apply
'Upper Limit' is a descriptive text field, but must be entered in ascending limit order. The last one will normally be '...and above'
